Puppies, Day Three...

Here are just a couple updated photos, I want to see how much they change because I know they are all going to be huge in no time! My poor little Cooper doesn't know what has happened to his household, and he misses Gwen outside with him. I breaks my heart to hear him whining and howling from the window. But, eight more weeks and all will be normal for him again. See you all again in a few days...

We're Puppy Parents!

Well, I just have to say that we humans have it good only having to carry and deliver one or two babies at a time. Our Gwenny had thirteen puppies last night! Every time we thought she was done out would come another. Nine females, four males and all are healthy too! Check out some photos, I'll update often!

Life Goes On...

So, today was my first encounter with death at my new job here in Utah. Not that death isn't all around me every day at the workplace, but today was the first patient that died while I was caring for them.

My lovely father often asks me almost every time I talk with him "How many patients did you kill today" sarcasm included! And, I often reply "No one of course, silly" The joke between us being that when I was in Nursing school, our teachers would go to the hospital the night before our shifts and choose our patient assignments. In the morning I would show up all bright and sunny (caffeine in hand) and my patients would have died overnight! Postmortem care for Amy!

So today, I did give my little one excellent pre and post-mortem care, and honestly I enjoyed it. Which befuddles my co-workers. But the point of my story is that all of my awesome co-workers were coming to my bedside constantly to provide me with emotional support. They even asked me if I needed to go home early and decompress, so I am truly finally enjoying my workplace for the wonderful place that it is. I love my job, no lie!

A Beautiful Fall Day!

Getting cancelled from my shift last night was a bit of a blessing in disguise! I got to spend an awesome day with friends and my family. Indian summer has set in here in Utah, and the mountains are ablaze with beautiful fall colours. After having brunch with one of Greg's lifelong friends, it was too beautiful to spend the day inside. So, off we went on a drive through the mountains around Salt Lake City. I wish I hadn't been gawking at all the amazing scenery, I could have shown you what I'm talking about! It's a good thing I wasn't driving because I'm sure we would be at the bottom of one of the canyons, I couldn't take my eyes off the mountain scenery. Wow, I can't believe that my life has brought to this beautiful place, brought me a wonderful new husband, and solidified our family! Tomorrow is our one month anniversary, and I honestly can't believe time has gone by that quickly, before I know it Jonathan will be off to college!
